It looks like Microsoft is releasing their second major Xbox 360 dashboard update where it will include 1080p output for both movies and games, and the ability to stream WMV video from any PC running Windows Media Player 11 or Windows Media Connect among other things.
More EA Cheat Codes For Sale
Selling “cheat codes” must have done well for EA, as they are expanding their library from just Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007, to also include The Godfather.
So if you want to spend some money to unlock some content or whatnot, then jump on the Xbox Live Marketplace and grab the “Level 4 Revolver – Black Widow” for 100 Microsoft Points, though that only gives you the option of purchasing the weapon in-game.
A stupid thing to gain more money, or a great way to deal out cheats? I hate being microtransactioned to death, so I give this whole thing a thumbs down.

More id Software coming to Xbox Live Marketplace?
A few weeks ago at X0, Microsoft and id Software announced that Doom was coming to the Xbox Live Arcade.
Since then, people have been wondering if other great titles from id Software are going to come out for the Arcade. Titles like Doom II, Final Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Wolfenstein 3D and even good old Commander Keen. FiringSquad decided to contact id’s CEO Todd Hollenshead to find out if more older id Software titles could be in the works. Here’s what he told us:
We’re looking at bringing some of the other games to XLA, but a lot is going to depend on the response to DOOM. From what MS tells us, its been fantastic so far, which bodes well for other id “classics” to be released there. But there’s nothing concrete. Making the surprise announcement at X06 for DOOM worked out great, so I’ll be tight lipped about anything specific for now…
What software company does not want to get some more money off what is basically a second run of making their old properties popular again?
