A beauty isn’t it?  Well yesterday I finally gave into this crave and finally got myself one!  I remember I was waiting for a Christmas holiday discount spree of sorts at BestBuy but unfortunately the price drops I saw didn’t include the Logitech V450 Nano.  It was on retail at US$69 I think, or somewhere within that price range.  Too expensive for me (!), I thought for something that would just point and click.

To my surprise, yesterday at BestBuy, they were retailing it at US$50!  Now that’s something I could at least bear.  Yeah, I know I could get a cordless mouse for something around US$30, but what I like most about the V450 Nano, is the nano part.  The USB plug-in receiver is so small, you’d hardly notice it attached.  It does still occupy one USB slot though.  I would have thought Logitech would develop a pass-through device.  Maybe the next model?

I think this is one gadget you NEED.  I’ve experienced a few snow rains this year and with the temperature dropping so suddenly, it is so easy for ice to just block your view.  If you live in the city and would usually park by the sidewalks you NEED the Heated Ice Scraper With Light. At US$14.95 it is a no-brainer, really!  This is handy to use that you can plug it into your vehicle’s cigarette liter to work.

One thing that’s cool about this is that it comes with lighting so if you work the night shifts you can easily clean your wind shield before you drive off to work.  Heat comes from a heating element in the gadget melting ice and the scraper attached softens and easily allows you to scrape ice without damaging or scratching your windshield.

It pays to gear up these cold December nights.  Ice on windshields are very dangerous.

Yeah, I know it’s a little funny but here’s what ThinkGeek has brought to us today… a Bi-Color LED blow on-off candle set.  This gadget is made of real candle wax, to replace the usual wicks are LED lights that you can actually blow to turn off.  Righty… you BLOW to turn it off.  What’s more surprising is unlike the regular candles, you can apply the same method to turn it on.  So… blow-on & blow-off… cool eh.

Each set is sold at ThinkGeek for about $15.   Candles are approx. 3″ in diameter (4″ or 6″ tall, your choice). The 4″ candle uses button type batteries (included) while the 6″ candle takes 3 AAA batteries (not included). The candles will “burn” for 300 hours on a single set of batteries.  Candles have either blue or the standard yellow color.

This is a cool gadget to use to teach kids about candles.  No fire hazards here at all and because they run on batteries… no power cords!

Just heard over the Fox channel morning news today that Indiana has quite a cold and white morning.  10 inches of snow was reported in some areas as cold air is pulling cool air down from the bay to Indiana suburbs.  While this is really no cause for anything out of the ordinary, it does usher in the winter season in a reminding fashion of fun, games and… snowmen!

After you get over the magic of first snow I’m sure you’d quickly be reminded that it’s almost time for a snowball fight too.  Better to arm yourself wisely with the Snow Launcher as early as you can.  It’ll be gone in most stores soon because at about under $30, it is a steal.  Move over Nerf guns… we need the snow launcher right now.
