Those who know about my problogging career (if it can be called that) would know that Gadzooki was the first ever blog that I wrote professionally for. That was in early 2005, when it was still branded tech.erati, part of the now-defunct Erati network. Tech.erati.com, along with Mobile Herald were my first assignments when I joined BlogMedia (now Problogging, Inc).

I had to leave Gadzooki when I started to write for the Bloggy Network, as I had an exclusivity agreement with them. But I often linked to Gadzooki when I found interesting posts here, especially since I also wrote for a team blog about tech, which was Forever Geek.

As destiny would have it, Gadzooki changed hands several times, until it was finally acquired by Splashpress Media, the owner of the Blog Herald. By that time, I was already on board Splashpress, since I started to write for the Blog Herald late in 2006. I started writing here again to fill in for those times the other contributors couldn’t write. It felt like coming back home.

After long discussions about how to improve and possibly revamp Splashpress’ network of blogs, Gadzooki was chosen as one of the community blogs to be re-launched, because of its branding (already a relatively known blog), and because of the content that it has so far.

I’m glad to be part of Gadzooki again, and this time at the helm. I know it’s not as big and popular as certain other gadget and tech blogs out there. But what’s important to me is the quality of content and the interaction within the community.
