Bikes are huge thing right now and a lot of different bike configurations are now available for people who have different sports interests. You’ve got street bikes for people who love to bike in urban centers, mountain bikes for those who bike on trails, and downhill bikes for enthusiasts who get an adrenaline rush biking down steep slopes. You even have racing bikes and BMX bikes.
One thing that has been really lacking in the bike arena is a bike that you can literally bring with you and use in any kind of terrain. I think this obvious gap in the market that has led to the creation of the All Terrain Electric Bicycle.
The All Terrain Electric Bicycle was built by an aerospace engineer, and looking at how bad-ass it looks, you know it’s really built to withstand the rigors of biking in different types of terrain. The tubeless tires alone – measuring 20” x 8” –alone mean serious business. It also comes with a 600 watt brushless electric motor that is used to drive a very variable 14-speed gearing system. The number of speeds means you won’t ever have to worry about not getting the correct gear when traversing different terrain. The motor can also propel the bike to speeds reaching 40 miles per hour. That’s some serious power for an all-terrain bike.
The suspension’s also very well thought out. It has a total travel of almost 8 inches, which translates to maximum shock absorption. The All-Terrain Electric Bicycle also comes equipped with hyrdraulic brakes for both the front and rear tires. The bike’s brakes, gears and motor are all controlled through controls mounted on the handlebars – which really makes you feel that you’re riding a motorbike, more than anything else.
The All-Terrain Electric Bicycle costs $9,700 at Hammacher.
