Tron was a smash when the original movie was shown in 1982. It was shown at a time when the digital era was in it infancy and computers were just becoming popular outside of the server and business environment. Tron brought with it a very unique visual style that it has really owned. Make any kind of similar design decisions and you’ll get “tron-like” descriptions.
Which is what this really cool-looking faucet always gets when seen by other people. This high tech looking faucet — the Ametis produced by Graff Faucets — won’t look out of place in the world of Tron. In fact, it can be used as a prop in the movie without having to tweak it any further. The Ametis faucet was designed by Davide Oppizz, a designer who hails from Switzerland. The whole concept of the faucet was indeed partly lifted from the Tron movies, specifically the sequel Tron Legacy. The faucet design also gives a nod to video game culture because it has design similarities to a joystick.
The Ametis faucet will immediately give any bathroom a cutting-edge and futuristic look in an instant. The Ametis faucet doesn’t just look good though. All that flashiness also has a function. The faucet has an electronic system built into it. What happens is that the the LED ring that is on the faucet will light up depending on the temperature of the water. Freakishly high tech in both looks and function. Who wouldn’t want that?
