Welcome to the Geeks & Gadget Carnival, an attempt to showcase the most thoughtful and insightful posts in the world of tech blogging.
The goal of the Geeks & Gadget Carnival is similar to that of other blog carnivals – to showcase the best blog postings of a certain genre. In this case, the genre is technology (and all the other things that Geeks love). There is no requirement that the blog be tech-centric but the post being submitted must be.
For those of you who are not familiar with carnivals, keep on readin’ on.
Tired of hard work, but few readers? Want to enhance the community of geek and gadget bloggers, especially the smaller guys? Want to do something fun and productive?
Blogging is all about getting noticed, networking with other sites, getting links and acquiring regular readers. A carnival rewards those sites that make substantial contributions to their niche by sending readers and links to their blog. What emerges is an organic network of high-quality blogs, with the best blogs being rewarded for quality.
The way it works is like this; you submit your best blog postings during the current period to the coordinator who will gather up all of the submissions and present them in a single blog post on his/her site.
The Geeks & Gadgets Carnival will be monthly and will use a rotating host model. Each month, a different contributor from a past carnival will be asked to host the newest carnival. Gadzooki will select the carnival host each month.
Most important of all: let’s have fun with this!
