I’ve written a lot of posts regarding audio players and audio docks in this blog. I think it shows that the audio market has strong support from buyers and even with a large number of product offerings the market is still open to the introduction of new products especially those that offer a unique feature.
As new features go, I think the Water Rocker has one of the most unique ones to come out in the market in the last few years. The Water Rocker is an audio dock / iPod sound system that allows you to listen to music even when you’re in the pool. Okay, there are many products in the market that offer features which will allow you to bring your music near the water. But the operative word here is NEAR. There’s really not much of an option if you want to bring your music closer to the water because, let’s face it, the aforementioned solutions are only good if the pool is small enough that you’re always near the speakers. Otherwise the volume lessens the farther away from the speakers you get. But with the Water Rocker, this is not even a problem. It completely changes the way you bring your music with you because nothing can get closer than being right there with you in the water.
The Water Rocker contains two units – the transmitter/dock where you put your audio player, and the speaker unit that you bring with you. The transmitter will send the audio signal to the speaker unit, which is contained in the large sphere. Here’s the cool part. The sphere is actually water proof so you can bring it with you when you enter the water. It also floats as well so you can just lounge around in the water with the ball floating by your side, pumping out your jams. The transmitter can link with up to ten speakers/balls. Pool parties will never be the same again.
