It looks like FCC’s confidentiality agreement has been lifted off the Eee Keyboard. Now we all know many things about this much-awaited nettop (is this a nettop?) including specs, innards and exterior pictures, user manual and more.
The Eee Keyboard will feature a 5-inch touchscreen display (800×480) on the right side (which is exactly the feature I actually want to try out).
On the other hand, it rocks the usual N270 Intel Atom processor and 1GB RAM standard in most netbooks. Also, it only has 16 or 32GB flash storage; boo. Other specs would be the Broadcom AV-VD905 video decoder, Bluetooth , Wi-Fi, 4-cell battery, HDMI/VGA outputs, USB ports and interestingly UWB (Ultra-Wideband). The UWB receiver packs in different ports like audio-out, HDMI, mini-USB, 2 USB and is able to output 720p video to the HDTV within 5-meters range or 10-meters for other transmissions.
Now all we need is a release date and a price, and we’d be all set, Asus.
