Let me tell you about this little secret I have: I love QWERTY phones. Ever since I got my hands on Nokia’s business class E63 with its beautifully made QWERTY keypad, I refuse to look back. In fact, I don’t even know how I got by without QWERTY in the first place. Now Nokia’s User Interfaces are another discussion though. I hate the living crap out of Nokia’s UI. It’s dated and in places ugly – well that’s until Symbian gets replaced by Maemo in Nokia’s N-Series. Nokia phones do get huge plus points for its solid construction. Yeah, construction beats UI everytime. Sony Ericsson phones, on the other hand, have the most gorgeous UI I’ve seen. It helps that they’ve been constructed solidly though.

Which brings us to the alleged new phone by Sony Ericsson. Called Faith, the phone will run Windows Mobile 6.5 and feature a physical QWERTY keyboard. To be honest, the new phone’s design is kind of cutting-edge if the phone was made back in 2005, but I think the features can compensate for its looks.

Honestly, I’m not too excited about Faith, especially over the fact that it runs Windows Mobile. Maybe if they put in Android, I’d give it a second look. Also, the phone looks like it came out of 2005. I’d give it a “MEH.”

But then, this phone is a leak, so it could be a fake. We’ll see in the days ahead.
