Once you get to where you’re going, the fun can start. However, getting there can often be grueling, boring, uncomfortable, and long. Imagine the days of the Oregon Trail, or even beyond then in other countries. Journeys that would take a mere couple of hours today with modern technology took months and months. Imagine how bored and uncomfortable people must have been being squeezed into a covered wagon with all of their belongings and whatever livestock they had.

Granted, people might have had longer attention spans and a greater tolerance for hell as people today, but the thought of what they had to go through in addition to the traveling conditions that people all over the world in third world countries have to deal with on a day to day basis is enough to hopefully make you thankful that you have some cool gadgets to play with, a comfy Lincoln MKZ hybrid to sit in, and a view as you take off from coach class on the plane that is taking you across the world in a matter of hours.
